GOALS
OF NFLCA GOLF TOURNAMENTS
One of the goals of the NFLCA is to assist retired
NFL coaches who have not benefited from the recent
improvements the NFLCA has achieved for NFL coaches;
such as better health care, retirement and insurance
benefits. To help those in need, the NFLCA has
established the Coaches
Assistance Fund to benefit
retired NFL coaches in dire need of help with
medical and living expenses. A portion of the
proceeds from all NFLCA tournaments will be donated
to this fund.
In conjunction with the Coaches Assistance Fund,
another important goal of the NFLCA is to aid
and preserve the development of youth football
programs. The NFLCA utilizes its golf tournaments
to work toward that goal by developing relationships
with local charities that give to area football
programs, or the NFLCA donates directly to local
public school football programs.
The NFLCA is a non-profit corporation comprised
of nearly 500 NFL head and assistant coaches.
Former NFL coach Larry Kennan has been the Executive
Director since 1999. The NFLCA offices are located
at 2021 L Street, NW, Suite 700, Washington, DC,
20036. The NFLCA is not affiliated with the National
Football League or any of its member clubs.
